Join us as we observe the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day on April 22 with this unique Volunteer Experience. Take a short motor coach ride from Fort Lauderdale Beach to nearby Dania Beach, where you will tour the world-renowned Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center. Then visit the Marine Environmental Education Center at Carpenter House and learn about sea turtle conservation efforts in South Florida. You'll even meet the Carpenter House's most famous resident, Captain the sea turtle. From there, you'll have the opportunity to make your own contribution to the sea turtle's delicate ecosystem with a leisurely beach cleanup.

8AM - Meet at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd.
8:15AM - Motorcoach departs for NSU Oceanographic Campus.
9AM - Guided tour of the NSU Oceanographic Campus.
10AM - Guided tour of Marine Environmental Education Center at Carpenter House.
12PM - Motorcoach returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach.

$25 per person, reservations required. Transportation limited to 55 participants.
Bottled water and light snacks only will be provided. Dress appropriately.

A limited number of participants with their own transportation are allowed and may meet the group at the NSU Oceanographic Campus, but registration and payment are still required. Select that option below. Parking is very limited.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability onsite before the activity begins.
